Keep
Out Uninvited Aedes Mosquitoes During Your Vacation
Are you planning for a
vacation in the coming months? Do you think that your homes are safe as long as
you lock them up?
Holidaymakers
tend to leave homes unattended for several days while enjoying their long
vacation. It is during this time that Aedes
mosquito breed in your homes and cause mosquito-borne disease such as dengue
and chikungunya.
To help you travel with a
peace of mind, the Air
Sino-Euro Associates Travel (ASA Holidays) and the National Environment Agency
(NEA) would like to encourage you to “mosquito-proof” your homes
before leaving for your vacation.
Deny Aedes
mosquitoes a place to breed in your homes by practicing the following steps
before you leave for your holidays:
· Turn over all water storage containers and store
them in dry sheltered areas.
· Cover toilet bowls, floor traps and bamboo pole
holders.
· Add insecticide to vases and roof gutters.
Let’s work together to keep mozzies away this holiday season as you travel around the
world with your loved ones.
ASA Holidays and NEA wish you a pleasant journey.
Bon Voyage!
