Day 1 Singapore – Paris (Meals on Board)
Assemble at Singapore Changi Airport for our flight to Paris, the capital of France.
Upon arrival, the local guide will show you the famous sights as we embark on a city tour. Visit Arc de Triomphe, a testament to Napoleon’s victories. Drive along Champs Elysees, the avenue of Paradise to Place de la Concord which signifies peace and is one of the largest squares in the world. Continue to Notre Dame Cathedral, the most important church in France and The Invalids, the final resting place of Napoleon. Make a stop at the Eiffel Tower, the first building constructed completely of steel and is also the symbol of Paris itself where we have the opportunity to go up to the 2nd level, for a breathtaking panoramic view. The rest of the day is left free at leisure. Explore the museums, shop at designer stores or go for a romantic River Seine cruise in Paris.
Day 3 Paris – Champagne Region – Dijon (Breakfast/French Dinner)
Meander through undulating hills and valleys to arrive at the famous Champagne Region of France for a vineyard visit where the wine growers will share their passion for the art of champagne making and offer a taste of their famous wines. This area is best known for the production of the sparkling white wine that bears the region's name. EU law and the laws of most countries reserve the term "Champagne" exclusively for wines that come from this region. Continue to Dijon, capital of Burgundy Region and also home to some of the finest French cuisine for overnight stay.
Day 4 Dijon – Geneva – Zermatt (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Cross the border into Switzerland. Continue to Geneva, known as the smallest big city in Europe for an orientation tour. You will drive pass the famous Jet d’Eau and the Palais des Nations, which is the European headquarters of the United Nations. Continue to International Red Cross and Red Crescent Museum and the colourful Flower Clock, a reflection of Geneva’s heritage and undisputed leadership in watch making. Make a photo stop at Chateau Chillon, one of the most impressive castles in Switzerland located on the shore of Lake Geneva. Thereafter, we will drive along the Swiss Riviera as we head towards the beautiful Valais Region. On arrival, we’ll board a rack rail to arrive at car-free Zermatt for a walking tour around the idyllic village. Zermatt is nestled amongst fabulous scenery of mountains and glaciers, and offers visitor a fantastic panorama of thirty eight 4000m peaks, the most famous being the Matterhorn.
Day 5 Zermatt – Interlaken (Breakfast/Swiss Fondue Dinner)
This morning, we will drive towards Interlaken, the gateway to the Jungfrau Region. Interlaken, where deep, dark forests end at the foot of rocky peaks, while cows graze under ancient Alpine trees and jewel like mountain lakes reflect towering white peaks, and above it all, the majestic chain of Eiger, the Mönch and the Jungfrau reigns. In the evening, enjoy the Swiss Fondue dinner in a typical Swiss surrounding.
Day 6 Interlaken(Breakfast)
Spend the day free at leisure. Why not consider taking a round trip on the unique and modern cogwheel Jungfrau Railway (optional) into the heart of a glorious glacier world on the very roof of Europe?
Day 7 Interlaken – Mt Titlis – Lucerne (Breakfast/Dinner)
In the morning, depart Interlaken for Engelberg where we commence ascend to Mt Titlis. We will board the aerial cableway for a 45 minute journey from the green valley bottom to the high alpine glacier region at 10,000ft which guarantees snow the whole year round. Enjoy a magnificent ride in the world's first ever revolving 'Rotair' gondola, which offers a 360° panoramic view into the Alps. On descending, proceed to Lucerne for an orientation tour. On arrival, visit the Chapel Bridge, the 14th century wooden bridge, is an icon of the city. The ambience in the Old Town is enhanced by the frescoed medieval buildings and 11 historic fountains. The Lion Monument is an allegory of the defeat of the Swiss Guards during the storming of Tuileries in 1792.
Day 8 Lucerne – Lugano – Milan (Breakfast/Dinner)
After breakfast, head south towards Italy. On the way, make a photo stop in Lugano. Continue your drive through the third longest road tunnel in the world, the St Gotthard Tunnel before arriving at the border. Enjoy an orientation tour of the financial and fashion capital of Italy, Milan. Highlights include Teatro alla Scala, one of the world’s most famous opera house in the world, Milan Cathedral which is the world’s fourth largest church, this late Gothic wonder features a forest of spires and statuary marble pinnacles and pillars, all woven together with a web of flying buttresses. Continue to visit the beautiful 19th century Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, a site for many luxury goods’ shops like Prada and Louis Vuitton. Next, visit the Castello Sforzesco, originally a military fortress, the new and improved defense were designed by Leonardo da Vinci.
Day 9 Milan – Venice (Breakfast/Dinner)
Drive to Venice, famous for its maze of canals, innumerable churches, and of course, languid, romantic rides on small wooden gondolas (optional). Our private water taxi cruise will pass churches and 13th century palaces to St Mark’s Square, where we disembark and join our local guide for a walking tour. Visit St Mark’s Basilica where the most splendid Byzantine art is on full display and where the saint’s relics are kept. Continue to Doges’ Palace, the 16th century palace connected to the prison where Casanova made his daring escape. Next, visit the Bridge of Sighs, named by Lord Byron in the 19th century, the bridge offered condemned prisoners a last glimpse of the world. Be fascinated by the Venetian Glass Blowing Demonstration; see how the master crafts molten glass into unique creations.
Day 10 Venice – Florence – Tuscany Region (Breakfast/Tuscany Dinner)
Drive to the Tuscan capital, Florence, where our local guide will join us for a walking tour. Make a stop at the Piazzale Michelangelo for a postcard-perfect panoramic views of Florence. Do not miss Ponte Vecchio, the oldest bridge in Florence crossing the Arno River. Continue to Piazza della Signoria, the heart of Florence, an ‘open-air museum’ showcasing excellent copies of masterpieces. Piazza del Duomo is the square containing the Duomo, an amazingly beautiful church built in the Florentine style, the 82m tall Campinile (Bell Tower) by Giotto and the Baptistery with the famous Door of Paradise. Il Porcellino, visitors of Florence has always had the habit of touching the snout of the worldwide famous boar for good luck. Later, be treated to a demonstration of leatherwork if time permits. In the evening, enjoy a sumptuous dinner in the Tuscany Region.
Day 11 Tuscany Region – Pisa – Rome (Breakfast/Pizza & Pasta Dinner)
Travel west to the coastal town of Pisa. See the famous Leaning Tower, a valuable artefact of Italian engineering, history and culture for many more reasons than just because it leans. Admire the white-marble Duomo, Piazza dei Miracoli, the magnificence of the marble, the green of the lawn, and the ancient walls transform a common square into the elaborate Baptistery in the “Square of Miracles”. Continue to Rome, “The Eternal City”, where we stay for the next two nights.
Day 12 Rome(Breakfast/Lunch)
Sightseeing in Rome is exhilarating. Rome wasn’t built in a day, and that is quickly evident as we commence touring with our local guide. Vatican Cityis the smallest independent state in the world, has the biggest Catholic basilica in the world, the St Peter’s Basilica. The opulent basilica is adorned with art, the most famous being Bernini’s Bronze Canopy and Michelangelo’s Pieta. Why not visit the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel (optional) if time and schedule permit? We will drive past St. Angel's Castle (Castel Sant'Angelo), formerly the main fortress of Papal Court. Initially it was the mausoleum built to hold the tombs of Emperor Hadrian and his family, later it became a stronghold linked to the Vatican Palace. Next, visit the Colosseum, where gladiators met in combat and condemned prisoners fought off beasts. Legend has it that if you toss a coin into the Trevi Fountain, you will come back to the eternal city. Continue to Spanish Steps, the favourite meeting place for both the Romans and tourists. Next, visit Victor Emanuel II Monument, an enormous monument in white marble named after the king who unified Italy, which commemorates unknown soldiers as well.
Day 13 Rome – Singapore (Breakfast/Meals on board)
With wonderful memories, we transfer to the airport for our flight back to Singapore.
Day 14 Arrive in Singapore
